Solid brass, unlacquered. That is the important part — a lacquered brass tray looks
identical on day one and then flakes in three years. Unlacquered brass darkens evenly into a warm patina and
can be brought back with a polish whenever you feel like it.
Shallow, with softly rounded corners, sized for keys, a watch, coins, and the small hardware that
accumulates on a desk or by a door. Heavy enough that it does not travel when you drop something into it.
Roughly 7 by 5 inches. Wipe clean; polish only if you want the shine back.
