Three channels, one block of white oak, no plastic inserts. The channels are cut at different
widths — one for pens and one for the flat things that otherwise slide under the laptop, and a wide one
for whatever the day generated.
White oak is pale, straight-grained, and hard enough to resist the dents that a softer wood picks up from
dropped keys. The base is felted so it does not scratch a desk or slide when you reach across it.
Finished with a hardwax oil that can be renewed rather than stripped. Roughly 12 by 5 inches.
