Every piece earns its place against something cheaper. If the cheaper one is genuinely better, we stock that instead.

We would rather sell you one thing twice than two things once.
A kitchen fills up with objects that were bought to solve a problem and then quietly created a new one — the pan that warps, the tote that collapses, the board that dulls the knife you actually care about. We started this shop because the fix is almost never a cleverer product. It is an older, plainer one made properly.
So the range is deliberately narrow. Six things per room, not sixty. Each one is the version we would give someone setting up a first kitchen, and the version we would replace our own with when it finally wears out — which, with most of this, takes a very long time.
