Salt in a jar is salt you measure. Salt in a cellar is salt you season with. The opening is cut
wide enough to get two fingers in comfortably, which is the whole difference.
Turned from a single block of walnut with a swivel lid that pivots on one pin — open with a thumb,
closed with the same thumb, no lid to set down and lose. Holds about half a cup.
The wood is finished with a food-safe oil inside and out. Keep it dry; wipe rather than wash.
