Twelve ounces is the honest coffee size — enough that you are not immediately going back
for more, small enough that the last inch is still warm.
The glaze is a soft oat with fine speckle from iron in the clay body, so no two mugs are quite identical.
Inside and out are glazed; the foot is left raw, which gives the mug grip on a smooth counter and shows you
what it is actually made of.
The handle is pulled wide enough for two fingers and set low on the body, which balances the mug when it is
full rather than making you pinch the top. The wall is thick enough to hold heat without being clumsy at the
lip.
Microwave and dishwasher safe. The unglazed foot will darken slightly with use; that is the clay taking on
the record of being used.
