Wide and shallow rather than deep, because most things that get passed at a table —
salad, roasted vegetables, a grain dish — are better tossed in a bowl with room than buried in one with
depth.
Twelve inches across and about four deep. The rim is subtly irregular, a consequence of being finished by
hand rather than pressed, and it gives the bowl a softness that a perfect circle does not have.
The glaze is the same warm oat as the mugs, so the pieces read together on a table without being a matched
set. It is heavy enough to stay put while you toss and light enough to hand across a table one-handed.
