Most totes collapse into a sack the moment you put something round in them. This one has a
flat, boxed base and enough body in the canvas to stand on its own while you load it, which is the difference
between packing a bag and wrestling one.
The canvas is waxed for water resistance — not waterproof, but rain and a dropped carton of
something will bead rather than soak. It softens with use and develops the pale creases along the fold lines
that waxed canvas is loved for.
Straps are anchored through the body with leather patches and bar-tacked at every stress point, so the
failure mode is the strap wearing rather than tearing out of the bag. They are long enough to go over a
shoulder while wearing a coat.
Roughly 16 by 13 by 7 inches. Spot clean; re-wax every couple of years if you want the water resistance
back.
